This image captures the essense of gothic cathedrals. I feel, also, that it captures the mindset of the people during that time period with specific representation coming from the monochrome nature of the photograph. What do you think?

It's dark, it's looming over you; haunting and almost threatening. God-fearing seems understandable enough.
Works especially well because of the grey background
For some reason, I think danger. Danger looming above me ready to devour.
