Another exploit from my last quarter. Great when had with paratha... not good with normal pita bread. I didn't give it enough time on the pressure cooker, so the water was retained wihch diluted the flavor. But, then again, I liked the diluted taste this time. Note to self: learn to apply the garnish in a more liberal manner.

The summer time in Evanston is quite amazing - and I can't wait until it comes back again. I visited this location prior to myself going back home; the location is surreal. When I visited the same location, winter had ravaged the site - the tree was no longer and the water was frozen. Sad. I have patience, it will return.

I decided I had enough with WindowsXP. I've never been accustomed to Windows to begin with - I've been using Linux for the past eleven something years and recently I had to use Windows because my laptop had it and I lacked the time to install and compile all new stuff on the system. To make a long story short; hardware conflicts and problems with the hardrive controller crashed the entire laptop. Now I have to spend the better half of tomorrow fixing the laptop. Ouch! Oh well, I backed up everything - so far so good.

Regret of the year: Missing the Minnesota Autumn. This picture is from 2004. :-(

What's wrong with this image?

Beautiful

Among my greater exploits of last quarter - paratha with Endai... VERY tasty!

This is quite possibly one of my favorite images of all time. It's morbid, while it also has a sense of life in it. Quite a juxtaposition, wouldn't you say? I don't know what to name it - oh well, I'll put it into a gallery as "untitled." Hope you like it.

From the same trip. This is the upper falls - you can see them in the last image before the bridge. I can't figure out how to color correct this image... so I'll post as it is.

And now I remember the beauty that is Minnesota in the summertime. This picture seems like a painting... surreal.

Granted, this picture is out of place. I was looking through the archive today - so many pictures I disregarded which seem to look good now.

Southern Minnesota used to be an extension to the vast prairie lands of Illinois and thereof. The prairie is being cleared for housing developments and to small parks which are dedicated to the 'memory' and not the 'preservation.' This image shows yet another casuality. The dark clouds are ominous. So much to say.

Believe it or not, this picture was taken in the dead of night during a Minnesotan Winter. Well, the wait was well worth it. One thing that I tried to minimize was the sensor's exposure to the moon; as you can see, I wasn't that successful. But the effect at the top of the moon pearing out is, well, good. That's no photoshop lens flare, it's a real lens flare. Hope you guys like it.

Wasn't aware that I was hiding snapping shots. I learned that these squirrels make loud noises.

I've posted this image before, but it was in a highly saturated color scheme. All the while, I didn't realize that the image looks much more beautiful when the colors are neglected.

Only seve more months until I get to see this...

Jack frost has returned.

Ironic, this picture was taken on a college campus. A fork in the road.

Weeks ago it was like this - now it's all barren.

Signs, signs... too bad not many heed these warnings.

Finals week, in a nutshell.
