A leaf blower just started up outside. I'm sure one of my neighbors is blowing away the death that s/he doesn't want to think about. Sadly, in doing so, any flowers as delicate as this one will, too, be blown away. Soon the leaves and the flowers will both be gone, and they'll be replaced by ice and snow. You've captured this transient state so wonderfully.
