I was looking outside to see if it will be a cloudy day, or sunny day. Then I see this beautiful gift that nature put right outside my window! Brilliant! I had to wait until nighttime though - the background ruins the shot. I'll have to do some images from the otherside tomorrow night. I just love it. The line in the middle is overexposed - I'll fix that next shot. The line is a long line of bugs (mosquitos, smaller insects) which were caught up in the web and the spider (in the middle) has wrapped them up in silk. So basically, it's a food repository in the air.

It's really cool. If you're Muslim you may have heard the story of the prophet and the spider... My husband adores spiders because of it and I am not allowed to kill them if they come in my house.... your picture is amazing (as usual :) )

All of your pictures are beautiful.. being from the American South, I especially love the tractor one and the winter road scene.

That is an awesome picture! You must have a solid eye for the world around you to catch all these things!

Xrayeagle - thanks! I try my best, but think of it. For every picture I put on this blog, there are 25 I delete. 1:25 is still a good ratio, pros have the worst ratio - but they produce the ones which get them the money.

Spiders freak me out. A lot.

Yet I'm really drawn to this picture.

I agree with Mike there.

Spiders scare me too - but for this image, I couldn't resist coming up close and taking this picture. I have a couple new images of this web, so I'll post those later.
