Southern Minnesota used to be an extension to the vast prairie lands of Illinois and thereof. The prairie is being cleared for housing developments and to small parks which are dedicated to the 'memory' and not the 'preservation.' This image shows yet another casuality. The dark clouds are ominous. So much to say.

This is beautiful Its like art.. particularly with your accompanying description.... it reminds me of the song by counting crows "They paved paradise to put up a parking lot and put all the trees in a tree meauseam and charged the people a dollar and half to see them"

Niki - Wonderful that you observe that there is a firebird in the sky; I never saw that. I will have to make careful notes on that since I was looking for a high contrast effect; only to see a firebird. Meaningful!

Aisha - Yeah, I know of the song and it does have a paralell with this situation. Sad isn't it?

Anostica - I do have a nickname, if you wish to use it you can call me "Shah Jahan"شاہ جحاں
Although, my real name, still tends be a bit of a mystery - even to me.

You're a mysterious young man. Your location says Punjab, Pakistan. You snap pictures of Minnesota and yet you take pictures of your home by Lake Michigan. :)
