I tried to capture the essense of the pond by taking an image of the wild plant life. I think I included a little too much sky - which takes away from the image. I will have to improve on this as well. This day was not a good day at all in the world of photography for me. :-(

the sky looks good..I think you needed just a bit more light to get the real essence of the pic

There may be a little too much sky but the foreground back ground interplay is nice!
Xrayeagle - I agree with you on the sky point. I have a habit of putting too much sky in - I will try to make myself aware of this. I sometimes don't think when I take pictures, I just take them and then later curse myself for making a little mistake. Regardless, each mistake is to be fixed with photoshop.
